How To Get There
There are three ways of reaching Grace Island – by air, land or water. Which option you will choose will be be dependent on how much time you have alloted for your vacation, your comfort level, and of course, your budget.
BY AIR
Let’s start with air travel. With the proliferation of budget airfare, reaching Grace Island or Mindoro is much easier. Take your pick among the three airlines (Cebu Pacific, Airphil and Zest Air) offering daily flights to San Jose, Mindoro Occidental. Flights take approximately one hour. Upon arrival at the airport in San Jose, the guests will be fetched by the Grace Island van. They will be taken to Aroma beach where a boat travel awaits.
BY LAND
Traveling by land is the more adventurous path. If you want to travel like a backpacker, take a bus bound to Mindoro Occidental. There are two routes available, both ending in San Jose. The first is via Abra de Ilog pier while the second is via Calapan City Pier. Travel via bus is now more convenient with a lot of bus lines using air-conditioned buses and there is no need to transfer from bus to the ship and to another vehicle again. Buses now use the RORO port and the passengers no longer have to leave the bus. The Araneta Center Bus Terminal in Cubao houses several bus companies offering trips to San Jose.
BY SEA
The last option is to travel by sea to Mindoro. Should you decide to take this path, you’ll have to go to Batangas pier and board a ship bound to Mindoro. Upon reaching Mindoro, you’ll then have to travel to San Jose by boarding another vehicle.
GOING TO GRACE ISLAND
Guest can hire a boat going to the island. The estimated 1-hour travel from Caminawin Port or Aroma Beach to Grace Island is a treat by itself. Along the way, the passengers will have a breathtaking view of beautiful natural resources. These are, to name a few, White Island, Ilin Island, Inasakan beach, Lininob rock, and Ambulong.
